Meet Dr. Ben Whiting, Dentist & Practice Owner
Dr. Ben Whiting has been creating healthy, confident smiles for patients in the East Valley since graduating from the University of the Pacific in 2000. After dental school, he returned to his hometown of Mesa and fulfilled his dream of building a practice centered on exceptional care, strong relationships, and a welcoming family atmosphere.
What Dr. Whiting enjoys most about owning his practice is the opportunity to work alongside an incredible team and create a positive environment where patients and team members feel valued. He loves the laughter, friendships, and sense of community that fill the office each day.
At the heart of Dr. Whiting’s philosophy is the belief that dentistry is about people first. He is passionate about building long-lasting relationships with his patients and takes pride in caring for generations of families. Some of the patients who first came to Whiting Dental more than 25 years ago now bring their children and grandchildren to the practice, allowing him the privilege of treating second- and third-generation family members.
Those who know Dr. Whiting best describe him as kind, generous, and approachable. Patients appreciate his genuine concern for their well-being and his ability to make them feel comfortable and cared for.
Outside of the office, Dr. Whiting enjoys staying active by mountain biking, working out, and scuba diving. He also treasures spending time with his wife of more than 30 years, their six children, and five grandchildren. Family is one of the most important parts of his life.
A lifelong Mesa resident, Dr. Whiting is deeply connected to the community he serves and is actively involved in his church. He was elected to two terms on the Mesa Public Schools Governing Board and also served on the Arizona State Dental Board, helping shape and support education and dentistry throughout Arizona.
When he’s not at the office, one of his favorite places to be is his family cabin in Show Low, where he enjoys relaxing and spending time with loved ones. And if there’s Mexican food involved, even better!
Dr. Whiting feels incredibly grateful for the trust his patients have placed in him over the years and considers it an honor to care for the smiles of so many families throughout the community. His goal has always been simple: to provide outstanding dentistry while helping every patient feel like part of the Whiting Dental family.
